Performance testing with Jmeter®
Description
Apache JMeter® - a pure Java® desktop application, that can be used to test the performance of different resources. It can be used to simulate a heavy load on a server, network or object in order to test its strength or analyze overall performance under different load types.
This training teaches the main principles of working with this tool, as well as its capabilities in assessing the performance and load testing of web-applications, DB and services. The course also offers participants exercises where they get the opportunity to practice using JMeter®.

Objectives
- Jmeter® overview;
- Jmeter® potential in testing web-applications, DB and SOAP-requests;
- Teach attendees basic knowledge and usage of Jmeter®:
- Develop baseline testing plan for web-application;
- Empower the test plan;
- Develop a baseline test plan for databases;
- Develop a baseline test plan for SOAP-services.
Target Audience
- QA managers;
- QA engineers (manual and automation testing).
Prerequisites
Experience with Windows OS, web-application testing experience and basic HTTP protocol knowledge, regular expressions usage knowledge, basic knowledge of DB (SQL-requests), XML basics knowledge.
