For 34 years (1965-1999) Alexander was closely connected with Lomonosov Moscow State University: in 1970 he graduated with honors from the Department of Calculus Mathematics at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, on the basis of which the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics was created in the same year. Later he was employed by MSU Research Computational Center. In 1982 he graduated from doctoral course of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics and defended his doctoral dissertation. His academic activities in MSU Research Center were really fruitful: he was a senior research associate at MSU, PhD holder in physics and mathematics, and an associate professor.
He published 7 monographs and more than 50 scientific works.
