Sergey Safronov

Testing Consultant
“In God we trust, the rest we test. I made the switch to testing from development, when I found that all program errors tended to develop in my presence. At no time have I regretted about it.”

Later he had a chance to test (and crash) in various projects:
  • Accounting and HR management in SAP
  • Compilers for Intel and Elbrus
  • Mortgage securities trading systems
  • Backup systems
  • Network interfaces control systems
  • Antivirus and antivirus control systems
He has had experience of both manual and tool testing; many of these tools were written by him. This experience helped him to accumulate big collection of errors and examples he shares now with students. From 2008 has been devoting more time to test management. Besides, since 2006 Sergey has been a lecturer in Software Testing at the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics.“In God we trust, the rest we test.
