The training is designed and developed for business analysts and other experts involved in the process of requirements analysis and design definition.
The training elaborates on the tasks related to selecting an approach to business analysis for a project, defining required activities and assessing their complexity, identifying stakeholders and planning their engagement, planning requirements management, and finding opportunities to improve the performance of business analysts.

The BABOK Guide is an internationally recognized standard for the practice of business analysis. It summarizes the experience of leading business analysts around the world and describes 30 major tasks of business analysis, along with 50 techniques that are commonly used for solving these tasks. The major challenge with self-studying the BABOK Guide is that, while describing typical tasks of business analysis, it does not explain when and how one should perform these tasks. It assumes that business analysts would be able to answer these questions on their own, based on their personal experience and the specifics of a particular project.
Besides that, the BABOK Guide provides very few examples that might help analysts relate the theoretical knowledge to their daily practice. Therefore, the purpose of this course is to overcome that challenge. The course elaborates on tasks of selecting an approach to business analysis for a project, defining required activities and assessing their complexity, identifying stakeholders and their engagement, planning requirements management, and finding opportunities to improve the performance of business analysts.
A systematic explanation of business analysis planning and monitoring tasks is accompanied by detailed elucidation based on real-life examples from both the instructor’s personal experience and world practice. It also takes into consideration the specifics of planning business analysis in Agile approaches. Thus, this course can be considered as a good familiarization with all business analysis tasks and their sequences in various types of projects.
Students will perform training exercises that help consolidate their understanding. Besides that, within the course, we will discuss the matters of preparing for IIBA certification and explore multiple examples of certification exam questions.
The course instructors are professional business analysts with rich hands-on experience in a variety of projects.
This course is endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and provides 12 PD hours (professional development hours) for further IIBA certification.
The primary objective of this course is to provide an understanding and develop skills for solving tasks of planning and monitoring business analysis as described in BABOK Guide 3.0. Besides that, the course is intended to facilitate the completion of certification through a better understanding of BABOK Guide content and certification exam questions.
The course is oriented towards business analysis practitioners and other specialists who are involved in planning and monitoring business analysis work, as well as improving their performance. It would be of particular interest to those who are planning completion of level 2 or 3 of IIBA certification.
