Description
This training course provides 20 hours study of IP multicast technology focusing on architectures and protocols.All aspects of IP multicasting are covered including host and routing implementations.
Lab sessions are used to verify and reinforce the theory and also to gain more knowledge in using hardware equipments.
After completing the course, a certificate

Objectives
By the end of the training the students will be able to:
- Explain how multicast networks work
- Understand IGMP signaling mechanism
- Compare different multicast routing protocols and switching mechanism , such as DVMRP, PIM-DM, PIM-SM,PIM-SSM, Snooping
- Configure multicast routers/hosts and test equipments
Target Audience
People involved in the design, implementation, troubleshooting of IPv4 multicast-enabled networks , IT personnel implementing streaming data services and other ipv4 telecom areas in order to understand how interaction with ipv4 multicast is done.
Prerequisites
IPv4 Routing and Switching knowledge.
