Description

This training program covers:

  • Understanding Change in Modern Business: Explore VUCA, BANI, and SHIVA concepts to understand today’s unpredictable environment and the inevitability of change.
  • Human Reactions to Change: Dive into the Kübler-Ross model, learn about common resistance factors, and develop skills to handle emotional responses.
  • Practical Tools for Announcing Changes: Apply the 6P algorithm to communicate changes effectively and empathetically.
  • ADKAR Model for Change Management: Learn and practice each phase of the model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) to successfully guide teams through transitions.
  • Design Thinking Principles: Use empathy and creativity to design human-centered change strategies and solutions.
  • Big Practice: Engage in a realistic, business-driven simulation to apply all learned frameworks, tackling a complex change scenario.

 

The training is highly engaging, featuring group discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world case studies to ensure practical understanding and retention.

After completing the course, a certificate is issued on the Luxoft Training form

Objectives

  • Understand that resistance to change is normal and explore what that resistance can be.
  • Learn a framework for implementing change in the team.
  • Understand the principles of Design Thinking to apply when implementing change to engage the team.

  • Team Leaders, Project managers, Managers, as well as anyone who, in one way or another, is faced with managing teams and implementing change in them.

Prerequisites

  • All that is required of participants is a willingness to understand the material and a readiness to devote 8 hours of their time to learning it

Roadmap

Day 1:

1. Introduction to VUCA, BANI, and SHIVA – frameworks for understanding change in a complex world.

2. Reactions to Change:

o Deep dive into the Kübler-Ross model.

o Recognizing and addressing resistance.

3. Communicating Change:

o Applying the 6P algorithm to effectively announce and manage change.

o Practice session with fairy-tale scenario.

Day 2:

1. Mastering the ADKAR Model:

o Step-by-step exploration of Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement.

o Group exercises to identify and manage challenges in each stage.

2. Introducing Design Thinking for implementing changes

o Following 5 stages of Design Thinking process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test

o Learning tools to achieve results at each stage of Design Thinking session

3. Final Simulation:

o Business game: "Blackouts in Murren" (an Alpine village case study).

o Debrief session to consolidate learnings and gather feedback.

The training takes 8 hours. The ratio of theory to practice is 40 to 60
